Our Approach
We employed advanced photogrammetry techniques using RTK- and PPK-enabled drones to conduct aerial surveys of the corridor. Operations were systematically structured into flights across defined segments to ensure optimal coverage and consistency.
Adhering to strict aviation safety and regulatory standards, our team secured valid NOTAMs for every operational area and collaborated closely with Air Traffic Control (ATC) for flights conducted near aerodromes. In addition, our on-ground security team liaised with local communities to ensure awareness and operational safety.
This structured and compliant approach enabled seamless data capture while maintaining the highest standards of safety, precision, and efficiency.
Impact
The project’s high-precision data and accurately referenced GCPs directly supported design approvals, cost optimization, and informed decision-making throughout the railway development process.
By integrating drone-based mapping and efficient survey workflows, the project reduced total survey expenses by over 30% and significantly accelerated the delivery timeline. Beyond immediate project benefits, these initiatives contribute to broader regional development, enabling improved logistics and transportation networks that enhance economic activity across northern Nigeria.
